Bridge to Employment Launch

Some of Ardscoil Mhuire’s students, and their parents/guardians, were honoured guests at the official launch of the Bridge to Employment programme in the Strand Hotel, Limerick last night (24/09/19). As part of the event, students met the mentors, volunteers from local businesses, who will guide them through an exciting and practical programme over the next three years.

Bridge to Employment (BTE) is a three year mentoring programme that will support our students in achieving academic success and in their preparation for higher education, training, and employment. BTE will present 25 of our students with unique and invaluable real world experiences, allow them to explore potential careers, prepare for college/work and discover how learning is relevant to their future. The focus of the BTE programme is perfectly aligned with the mission of Ardscoil Mhuire and we believe that the students experience over the three years of the programme will be of great benefit to them, now and into the future.

“I would like to take this opportunity to thank Junior Achievement Ireland, Limerick Institute of Technology , University of Limerick and Johnson & Johnson Vision Care for collaborating on this program. As Principal of Ardscoil Mhuire I look forward to working with our BTE partners to achieve our shared objectives over the next three academic years and make this a transformational experience for all our participating students.”
