Science Fest

ASM always has a strong presence at the annual Scifest event in Limerick, and this year was no different as we were represented by two Second Year students, Erin Barrett and Tara Hamilton. Scifest is a regional competition with students from schools all over Limerick City and County presenting their scientific investigations in the hope of winning one of the prestigious prizes. Erin and Tara worked extremely hard for months on their life-science project entitled, ‘Analysis of how People's Age, Religion, and Location Affects their Views on the LGBT+ Community'. The girls hard work was rewarded when they were awarded First Prize Social Science Winner in the Life Science category.

The girls’ dedication and hard work over the past few months is something to be admired and will hopefully inspire more students to participate next year. Well done girls!
