Review of 2015/2016

Ardscoil Mhuire was delighted to take part in the Munster Interschool’s’ Show Jumping Competition. This was held in Clonshire Equestrian Centre, Adare on Sunday, the 20th of March 2016. We had a dedicated team comprised of Marina Stevens (Transition Year), Kailey Noonan and Olivia O' Donoghue (Second Year), and Sophie Ryan (First Year). This is our second year competing in this competition.  Last year, in our first year, we entered and won the novice level, jumping fences of 50-60cm in height and width.  As a result we moved up a level and entered a very hotly contested class jumping fences of 70-80cm in height and width this year.  The competition was tough, there were sixteen teams present, and we finished just outside the prizes. The girls represented the school in exemplary fashion, showing commitment, determination, and skill in their rounds of jumping.  For our first year at the higher level we did very well and with more training over the summer months, and the possibility of new recruits to make up two teams, the future for the ASM Show Jumping team is bright!
